Good Morning Sunshine!!!!

Nothing about this is real...

It's too cold for sunflowers to be flowering...

It's cloudy with a chance of crapiness...

This flower is the remnants of a lab we did in the botany course yesterday. I had another that I put into a blue dye we were using to demonstrate water flow in drought-stressed plant - riveting stuff I know!!! My hope was that the veins of the petals would become blue overnight, but that didn't happen.

This sunflower was only partially opened today, so I threw a lab light above it to resemble sunshine. A little dreamy softening, and voila - Fake-a-roo!!!

I'm also still looking for something extra special to post for an online macro image contest. I'm still looking...
