Snapshots of rural France

mums!

Forgive me, I am not particularly chirpy today. Whether it's lack of proper sleep or just the culmination of being extra stoic over the past couple of weeks I am not sure. Lacking confidence, motivation...it probably didn't help having lunch with friends, the husband is (was) my latest recruit and my ambition had been to train him up as part of my back to work plan. (He had a meeting this morning with my replacement but has postponed his training until January as he felt he needed more time to sort things out-he was only joining because of me and is gutted I am not going to be his mentor (which makes me feel bad too)). I had a late email last night from Mr L, still leaving me in the air, he wants to talk to me because it's 'complicated'. When he will deign to do that who knows, I have asked for a chat today. Fed up with the whole sorry affair now and just want to be EITHER in our OUT...

Answer to yesterday's puzzler...mine was the light green frame. I am quite proud of the end result and will be looking to get some new tools to be able to do some larger photos soon, I hope.

For those of you who remember all the trouble we had with the kitten? I had a call from my neighbour last night to say the old lady who's house the kitten lived at with it's family (or at least in the farm) had died, apparently last Friday. She was buried yesterday. I noticed the gravedigger's truck in the cemetary yesterday morning as I went out early (it's a small community) but it didn't occur it would be someone in our hamlet. She does have family so I hope all the animals will be properly taken care of. (There were goats, chickens, and the kitten's family consisted of 2 adults and 4 kittens)

Physio is getting confusing, I had a clicky sounding pressure gun working on me today, which was interesting (?) and some new additional exercises. The doc reckons I have tendonitis in the sole of my foot as the sciatica has all but gone. I mentioned it to the physio, but unless I have a prescription for physio for the tendonitis she will just treat my back....(but the tendonitis is probably related to my back problem as I have been walking incorrectly etc and since the op have probably been putting my feet down differently)

Bought some wine today to take to Mum and Dad at the weekend. Thinking about that made me feel a bit better. Looking forward to roast dinner chez les parents on Sunday! XX

The blip is of our village cemetary, which although recent news made it a sad place to visit, is very colourful around this time of year (all souls & all saints) with various chrysanthemums.

Bye for now. Hope you're all OK...
