For Another Problem

This is the Sulby River. In days gone by there was a gang of river workers whose summer job it was to go along the banks of the river and cut the sallies (willows) and make sure that there would be a good flow ready for the winter floods.

That work seems to have stopped now, perhaps because the money has run out.

I wonder what will happen next when the tree blocks up the bridge arch.
