The cardboard zoo
These cardboard giraffes as tall as the trees that surround them form part of a really surrealistic zoo in the middle of nowhere that the mayor of a nearby town decided to set up for the children a few years ago.
It has not been looked after properly and now there are only a few animals left: a bull, a rhinoceros, a zebra and the two giraffes; and few children go and play with them.
It is a bit depressing, I think. It somehow reminds me of the estate bubble.
