weighing things up

It occurred to me that now that I have given back the EOS so kindly and generously lent, it would be good to have a camera to take on holiday in less than two weeks.

Otherwise it's more of the cameraphone.

I've been trying to choose something to buy - the first camera purchased rather than gifted or lent - and I'm kind of stuck. Not too big - handbag-sized would be ideal. The Canon G10 is stretching the handbag-sized criteria a little, but still... or how about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 (though I borrowed one the other day and though lovely, found the lack of zoomage frustrating)... or something else entirely?

I need to make this choice soon I think.
