South Bank, Butler's Wharf
London looking broody, ancient and modern buildings lined up against a storm-filled sky.
One of the Thames Rivermen told me that Wharf was an acronym for Ware House At River Front. he lied - it is nothing of the sort. I was disappointed. The word is actually derived from Old English, hwearf - which means a bank.
