Goodbye to Summertime
Today is Labor Day. Ladies, you're not allowed to wear white anymore. Summer is officially over.
Went and wandered around downtown playing tourist...it was that beautiful of a day. Went and looked at the seals at the Aquarium, sauntered around the docks, walked through Faneiul Hall. Did everything a tourist would, except walking the Freedom Trail. I'll even fess up and admit to eating a bowl of Illegal Seafood clam chowder.
Anyway, I've obviously edited this photo and made all the green leaves brown as this is what it felt like to be downtown at Christopher Columbus Park at around 6:00 PM. The crowds dissipated, the crisp, cool air moved in. It reminded me that fall is here, and in a few weeks it'll really feel cold out and the leaves will die and we'll have our 8 months of dreary weather.
It seems like just last week that summer arrived. How quickly it goes from 90 to 60.
