Sugar Sheds in Black & White

Absent Voices' artist Ryan King is a busy man.

When he's not messing with mustard and chopped ham at his kitchen table (see yesterday's Blip!), he's making music with his band The Alphabetical Orchestra.

Today, he's been working on a series of postcards foe his Lost Heritage project which mixes up the textures found on the walls of Greenock's mighty and historic Sugar Sheds with old local newspaper cuttings.

Like the sugar industry, the newspaper industry has taken a battering and many of the papers the workers would have read in Inverclyde have now ceased publication.
