I've taken better pictures today, but for me this is a moment to cherish.

The muted tones of the moor together with the blurred flurry and movement of the Golden Plovers lend an abstract quality which appeals to my aesthetic. So this isn't about recording wildlife with technical expertise, it's about recording the moment on a November afternoon when three Golden Plover lifted out of the grass in front of me.

And which was more startled? The plovers or I?
