Fireworks

I do sympathise with the folk whose pets are traumatised and due to commercial and media pressure have to endure night after night of whizzes, bangs and shrieks of endless fireworks.

But my husband, Mr H, loves fireworks and for the last 25 years we have celebrated Guy Fawkes night at our Care Home. Our staff and their families, local Cubs, Scouts and Brownies and all our residents and their families enjoy a stupendous display followed by hot soup, potato wedges and hot dogs.

Someone usually organises a donations bucket and due to some very generous people have managed to send cows, goats and building materials to the Third World.

Situated above the Undercliffe, overlooking Lyme Bay the wooded valley provides a magnificent backdrop to this annual event !
