Stratford

We went to the Maybird Centre, a just-out-of-town-centre modern shopping complex with massive car park looking like it could be in any UK town, to buy some clothes, mainly for Tom. This involved at one point taking a photo of a coat to text to Tom to see if he likes it. We presume he was not in the middle of a lecture as he sent back his acceptance fairly quickly.

After lunch we went back to the comfort and cosiness of the town centre for a cup of coffee at Nero. It was dark when we left for home; it will be nice when they light up the Christmas decorations that are hung all over the place.

Two of our favourite TV programs on tonight – Masterchef and George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces. Thank goodness for Sky+.
