Cardinal's place

I'm pretty sceptical about organised religion, but I still find a lot of its architecture very beautiful.

Westminster Cathedral is a case in point: John Betjeman called it "a masterpiece in striped brick and stone in an intricate pattern of bonding, the domes being all-brick in order to prove that the good craftsman has no need of steel or concrete". I would also like to look inside next time, especially to see the sculptures by Eric Gill.

Given the new pope's focus on helping the poor (a welcome contrast to getting rich and abusing the weak), I thought I'd snap it from the huge, rather gaudy shopping centre over the road, a true church of capitalism - called Cardinal Place.
