Rowan's end

The most colourful tree over the past few weeks on Bruntsfield Links has been a reddening rowan. It's now almost past its peak, as you can see from this picture. It was nice to capture the tree in the sunshine today: the same tree is fourth from the right in Tuesday's misty shot.

It's also quite interesting to compare this tree with its berry laden cousin snapped on 22nd September.
