Buddleia in winter

Looks a bit bleak at the moment but come next spring let's hope it, and the butterflies, will be back in all their glory.

The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Osborne, visited Norwich yesterday and representatives of the Norfolk People's Assembly were outside the country house hotel, where he was meeting members of the local Chamber of Commerce, waiting for him.

They pelted his car with eggs, made their feelings about him and his government known loud and clear and one of them - a retired UNISON member - shouted that she was throwing eggs because she could not get her hands on dog shit.

The demonstration got an airing on the local TV news which was great, but unfortunately there was no-one from People's Assembly there taking still photos.
