November Nerine
Our journey begins here into a world of temperate plants, grown from seeds, hand collected from the wild.
Having spent the summer at a new online nursery,Evolution Plants, I have discovered beautiful, intricate, rare plants, thriving in an environment, similar to their natural habitat.
Hidden in amongst the Wiltshire countryside, as opposed to high mountainside slopes or woodland areas, in Europe and America, the seeds have adapted well to their new climate and relish the intermittent sunshine and frequent showers.
Now, as we head into the harsh, winter season the characteristics of these perennials, change, as some lie dormant, while others simply bloom.
Galanthus (Snowdrop) Crocus and Helleborus are some of those we can expect to see in bloom over the next few months, brightening those dull, wet, days we have already began to experience.
