How many boys does it take ....

.... to lift 150 kilos of solid walnut staircase above their heads? The answer is 4. Four lovely, brave friends who heaved, pushed, cajoled and strained to put this beautiful baby into place. And all for the price of a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich.
To be honest, we've been anticipating and dreading this day in equal measure. The staircase is more like a sculpture but as always with anything that looks this simple, installing it is extremely complicated.
We couldn't have had a better team. So, from the bottom of our hearts, thankyou C who designed it, J who made it, M who thought up the idea of the template, A, S and T who shouldered the burden and JdeP our brilliant engineer in chief. Bravo, tout le monde.
