Reaching Out

Went to feed swans today with my younger grandson......We both got bitten....but gentle bites....It is by total immersion we get to know things best, whether a new language, lack of unreasonable fear or the breaking down racist boundaries ..... I continue to do this regularly..... Resist the urge to explain that I am heterosexual if someone I know sees me come out of a gay bar... I was there with some gay friends!!! The more I feel the wish to explain the more I need to understand that I have some way to go, well intentioned as I am.... I fear very little... Have done the run of the bulls in Pamplona, have had my back broken off a horse, stood my ground in city streets at night....What a man!! Not really if I have to deny my very good gay friends....Feel like Peter sometimes denying them.... Glad I brought up my kids and grand kids better.... I try to teach them to fear nothing and respect everything and everyone.....just saying
