Copacabana beach: Dental floss bikinis!

Our first very easy day since we began this adventure over two weeks ago. The weather has brightened up and we spent the morning on Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro.

The bikinis worn here are known as “dental floss bikinis”, you can see why. The beach is the centre of social activity in Rio. Everyone is very friendly. The surf and sand are magnificent.

As soon as I have posted this blip, we are off to see the Corcodova, or staue of Christ the Redeemer.
