Flyboard

Headed up to the Pearl this afternoon to watch the Flyboard World Championships, a sport which I didn't even know existed!

The flyboard was invented in 2011 and basically consists of a jet boots and hand stabilisers which are connected to a jet ski by a long hose. The rider can then propel themselves underwater or in the air...kind of like Ironman (suitably enough who the commentator was dressed as!)

After a spot of lunch we took in a bit more of the Pearl (watching the various ferrari's and rolls royce drive by - it really is another world) before jumping in a cab to West Bay (downtown Doha where all the skyscrapers are).

Thereafter we walked (a good few miles!) to the Souq Waqif and had a look around.
