Oyster Catcher.

The dogs were in disgrace this morning, as they bolted when PJ turned his back for 2 seconds. We have several hectares of re-generating bush behind our house, and this is just toooo.... tempting for 2 little dogs. So when they arrived back at the house quite some time later, they got tied up. They are not happy.
We had a couple of water taxi trips, and when we put the boat on the trailer, I noticed a couple of Spur Winger Plover birds on the beach. PJ went off to golf, and I took the camera and big lens down to the beach. But I don't know what is it, but I can drive the loader within 4 or 5 metres of them - but try and walk near to them with the camera and they are off before I am within 20 metres.
So, it was the pair of Oyster Catchers that I stalked, and finally a photo of one of them flying. This is the first time that I have been happy with a photo of one in flight. Got 100's of disgards over the last couple of years. I seem to have a bit of a blue tint to it, but no sure why. It is a grey, overcast day here (again!!)
