Pied Shag at the Waikanae Lagoons

The Mistress, her cousin and her mother walked around the lagoons this morning. Lots of birdlife everywhere.

We got there just as this pied caught an eel and was eating it. Unfortuantely, I was still in my bag so the Mistress missed the action. However, it swam over to dry out and this is the one she did get.

Afterwards we did the Kapiti Art Trail and then headed to the airport where the Mistress flew me home.
