Gravity
It's been a very long time since we last went to the cinema. The thrill came mostly from the fact it was the start of the weekend, the movie would finish past midnight and we could sit wherever we wanted.
When we were children (I'm talking late 70's - early 80's), going to the cinema was a big deal. Usually you would have to buy the tickets (physically queuing at the counter) well in advance if you wanted to get good seats. The hall would be full to the brim and no food or drink was allowed during the movie. You would have to hope in vain not to be blocked by a tall viewer in the front row and the surround sound was a natural mix of suppressed gasps, whispers, giggles and sneezes. There were no commercials either.
I find it strange how the "movie experience" is advertised these days...
