I was able to get over to the skate park tonight- and by that I mean i worked up the courage. I still have a slight phobia of those kids- even my own generation. Who knows why exactly, but there is a level of intimidation.

The funny part is these are just kids. And the wanna-be girlfriends are sitting on the sidelines admiring the one they like the best. My heart went out the them because I knew what was really going on. Either the boys could care less about the girls or if they were interested, they just wanted a cheap feel. This was the place cool was published in the material form. It felt funny- I used to like the skater boys and then realized so many years later that they were really just- I can't write this word here - so I'll use meanies.

Besides the sudden distance between my past and these kids' present day, I got to walk around and catch some great images. I cannot wait to go back.
