Diamond Light
Tonight was our village annual firework display, and as with the last 23 years, it is very spectacular..
Soon after the grand display had finished, I found that the adjacent graveyard was now full of smoke with some brilliant rays of light.. Wow it really was like a dramatic scene from E.T.
I missed three or maybe four really stunning shots fumbling around in the dark, without a torch. Thankfully I did finally I manage to capture a couple of long exposure shots worth keeping..
This is one of them.
Five minutes’ earlier there was around a hundred totally separate shafts of light (One from each separate leaded light diamond). It was so glorious to see… and a shame that all this smoke had cleared within ten minutes of taking this shot.
Next Year:
I will plan ahead and get positioned in the grave yard well before the fireworks end…
ENJOY....
