Where's the body?

I'd been down at Glasgow Harbour visiting.

The cranes across the river always fascinate. But as I looked at their reflections, I was struck by the empty lifebelt that was coming up the river on the tide.

Has it been used and if so where was the body? Had some vandal simply thrown it in the river? Can it be in the river by pure accident? Will it be rescued and reused?

The river leaves so much to ponder on. And it also gave me too many use-able pictures today.
