Prek Toal Floating Village

Lake Tonle Sap in Cambodia is the largest freshwater lake in south East Asia and is home to tens of thousands of waterbirds, and a few thousand humans as well, who live in floating villages. The Sam Veasna Centre runs ecotours to the bird colony and supports the local human economy as well. The people get paid for paddling tourists like us around their village, showing us their homes, their crocodile and fish farms, and their handicrafts. How many other floating pool bars are there in the world?
