Haslemere Town U15s played against the Spartans this afternoon. Whilst it was nice and sunny, by the time the game finished it was seriously cold

The opposition kids and parents were not particularly nice. The way they shrieked at the ref throughout the game was way over the top. I agree the Ref had a nightmare of a game, but the way they were shouting and complaining at him - particularly when he blew his whistle (for any of the hundreds of fouls that they conceded by pushing, pulling and generally bullying our players throughout the game) was unacceptable. We lost 3-2, but I lost interest as the second half carried on when one of their parents started to threaten my friend Andy who had just seen his son collapse in a heap holding his face after a terrible foul - and then I heard their parents vocally laying into Andrew who was running the line.

Its a youth game of football for Gods sake. Surely the parents are supposed to be teaching the kids how to behave?
