In Remembrance

The Haywards Heath War Memorial on Muster Green, adorned with wreaths.

On the eve of Armistice Day, the anniversary of the end of hostilities in the WW1 in 1918, we commemorate the lives of the fallen service men & women.

We paid our respects by watching the sombre ceremony held at the Cenotaph on the TV this morning & then I made my way to our local memorial, which stood quiet & beautiful in the crisp, clear sun-streaked day light.

It's a quiet & cosy one for us today.
