Sunrise in the paddock
This morning I was out at 8.30 and watched the sun reach the paddock on the north bank of the Tay. The horses had on jackets but they were looking a bit sorry for themselves when I first arrived. It was very cold and a hoar frost covered the grass in their field. However, as the sun rose above the trees and began to reach them they became more active. Soon someone arrived to supply the morning feed. It was lovely to watch the trees take on their golden mantles. The exposure also showed up the frost on the tractor wheels and in the meadow itself - sometimes this exposure balance is difficult to achieve.
