Ferry Bridge

Driving up the A1, heading for Scarborough in North Yorkshire, I stopped briefly to take a shot of Ferry Bridge Power Station against the autumn sunshine. I called also at Towton where a man on a horse reminded me that the battle fought here in 1461 was "bigger than Gettysberg".
