Watched the Festival of Remembrance last night
Slick and in places undoubtedly moving
But I couldn't help but think my strings were being pulled very effectively by the guys in the gantry
Clear away the poppies and replace them with Pudsey Bear

Remembering today in Edinburgh
The old guys get younger every year

Remembering also "the enemy"
My wife's uncle went east
Did he go whistling a militaristic ditty ?
I don't know, never knew him
But I know he never came back

Induction then destruction
Who wants to die ?
