She-he Cuckoo Wrasse

Today we went out to the Isle of Muck and had 2 fantastic dives. This is a cuckoo wrasse which is in the process of changing from female to male. All cuckoo wrasse are born female and once the male of the group dies off a female will change sex to male to replace him. Once this female is fully male, he will be very colourful with a blue head and blue and orange body. You can see the blue colouring starting to come out on her/his snout.
