With mountains like these

More vertiginous

I hope you get the feeling of a bit of a breeze.

Footy first thing and then a walk with K and K from Valdemossa right up to the ridge on the Archduke's walk. It was magnificent. Visibility could have been better, but who cares when you have such a feeling of space and vast quantities of rock beneath your feet. There were certain places where if the wind had been in the wrong direction, we would have been swept off the range into the distant sea. An encounter with 8 black mountain goats galloping on the precipice was magical, but I loved our lunch more. Huddled behind a rock looking at lone trees rocking in the desolate tops. Autumn crocus, rosemary and St John's Wort were in bloom and I could imagine their colour if the sun were out. We were last down from the mountain with a spectacular sunset from between the oaks, lime kilns and ice pits in this ancient landscape. Very Swallows and Amazons. Finally, in Valldemossa, I tried a Chai Latte, which was really rather good. A slightly Himalayan day and thanks to K and K for wonderful company and cracking of the exercise whip.
