This is such a shit photo! Of all the photos I could have got today!
We headed out to symond yat today to do a bit of paddling on the small rapids that are on the east part of the river (about 5 miles up river from Monmouth) and I came to the conclusion, after finishing the rapids and hauling our boats up to the top, that kayaking is not for me. And after that morsey and I had the most wonderful float down the river from there in the valley, with red and yellow trees lining the cliff side and blue sky stretching on forever beyond.
I don't think I will quit kayak club, because of all the people and the experiences I have had, but I can't keep going out to places with them and not doing the rapids..
