Remembrance

A beautiful day, cloudless blue skies, a frosty start and fresh snow on the tops - I hope it lasts.

Went to the Braithwaite cenotaph for the 10.50 remembrance service. It is one of the most glorious settings, and the service was so good, with the morning sun warming our backs whilst we sung a few hymns and laid wreaths. I chose this edge-of-wreath detail with a hint of some of those who lost their lives protecting our country.

There was a great comment in the service. Those who served and didn't return gave up their today in order for us to be able to enjoy our tomorrows. So poignant.
