White Horse
In London again today.
This sculpture, made of marble and resin, stands outside the British Council’s headquarters in The Mall, central London.
It was created by Turner Prize-winning artist Mark Wallinger after receiving £100,000 in funding. It is a scaled down version of his 160ft-tall, competition-winning design for Ebbsfleet, Kent, where he hoped to erect a 50m tall white horse dubbed the “Angel of the South”.
