Childwall Abbey Hotel

We stayed in a very interesting Hotel last night. One of Marston's called the Childwall Abbey Hotel, in Childwall, Liverpool.

I was there to Photograph the Pub / Hotel for their web site. I have to say it was a lovely pub and really busy in the evenings. They had a Neil Diamond covers singer on the night we stayed, he was very good. I like a bit of Neil Diamond.

"The Childwall Abbey Inn has been known by this name for at least a Century. After delving in to many records and documents, I have come to the conclusion that it is really a renovated Chapel, probably the Chapel of St Thomas the Martyr. which is known as far back as 1484. The Church oposite, All Saints Church, is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Legend has it that the hotel is haunted. I must admit I had my own little experience while staying there myself. Lovely Pub & Hotel. Great atmosphere.
