Cawood Castle, Yorkshire
Humpty Dumpty
Cardinal Thomas Woolsey lived here in 1530. He was arrested in Cawood for High Treason in November 1530 and died in Leicester on his way to London. Woolsey's downfall is believed to be the origin of the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty.
