Free stuff!

It paid off mentioning that we were on our honeymoon when we checked into our hotel in Auckland - we had a knock on the door later in the afternoon and this bottle of champagne was delivered. Lovely. We were way too jet lagged to drink it though, so saved it for tomorrow.

Arrived at the hotel in Auckland at 8:30am, having driven our hire car from the airport. We were planning to leave our cases there and come back to check in later, but they actually let us check in then and there. Such a relief to get into our lovely room and have a shower, get changed etc. Spent the day desperately trying to stay awake, coming and going from the room, looking round the waterfront and other stuff nearby, and generally just feeling totally spaced out. Gave in about 7:30pm and went to bed while it was still light outside - there was just no way we could keep our eyes open any longer.
