Our little oasis of nature

When house searching we saw a lot of new builds nestled in barren identical side by side plots.

Then we spotted our little flat, it wasn't a house, but we figured it still had a decent sized shared (& private) garden, 5 minutes from the town centre & good train links.... But the big selling point was the trees!!!!

5 years on we often have a peak into the market, thinking a house would be lovely.

But then on nights like this with winter settling in there is something lovely about looking out any window of choosing and just seeing trees, a single street lamp to remind us we're not so isolated, yet still far enough away to feel mother natures calming influence.
