Autumn colours: beech leaves
When you go out camera in hand with the intention of photographing flowers or leaves, the wind speed will usually increase so as to add to your frustration.
This is a back-lit image, the camera pointing in the direction of the sun but slightly downwards. Used a wide aperture, to ensure a narrow depth of field and to turn the grass at rear into an undifferentiated backdrop; as a result, some of the leaves are not in sharp focus .
If you magnify the image, you will see the veins in the leaves.
