Fabian Ware

Yesterday was my birthday and Mrs L, taking heed of various hints, bought me a copy of Empires of the Dead by David Crane a biography of Fabian Ware and his work to establish the Commonwealth war cemeteries after the First World War. By coincidence one of the photographs is of Serre Road Cemetery No.2 on the Somme where one of my relatives is buried.
