First full day....

So our wee boy spent his first night on the ward where he and I were looked after brilliantly by the various midwives (they became known as 'the Blue People' as we started to look at the world through Stuarts eyes and envisage him asking for the competent Blue people rather than his amateur parents as we try to get to grips with feeding, nappies, clothes etc)

77 turned up at 9 in the morning to offer some much needed moral support as despite the lovely midwives help it was a tiring night feeding with no sense of feeling yet back in my legs after the spinal block. A fairly chilled morning and then wee Stuart had his first visitors, 77's parents. This is their first grandchild and I think its fair to say they were quite smitten. More chilling after visiting and then 77 left at 10 for a night of peace of quiet in his own bed while Stuart and I settled down for a second night on the ward...
