Cake challenge

This (frankly insane) cake was spotted by my lovely colleague Edith in the reduced section of Asda last night - originally £15, at £2 it seemed too much of a bargain to turn down. Only problem was, it had to be eaten by today. We did our best, but didn't quite manage to finish it. And all felt a bit sick afterwards. Sorry Edith!
