Ready for Christmas!

As with so many places across the country, the Christmas lights in Keswick were turned on at the weekend - it feels like it gets earlier every year. I remember when I was young, as soon as our town had the Christmas lights on, I was ready for Christmas - and those 2 - 3 weeks seemed to take forever. the lights are now on a full 6 1/2 weeks before Christmas (that's 12% of a year!) - what can it be like for kids getting excited for that long - they'll all explode!

OK - rant over - I still liked the lights, actually thought they were quite subtle.
