Found in a box.........
Geoff has taken all his old bits and bobs from the garage and to his new house. Buried in the general rubbish that one collects over the years we found this. He bought it in England about1986, it was known as a "Carpet Racer", for obvious reasons.
I brought it home and took it to bits, dumped the 20 year old Mechanical controller, which turned more Energy into heat that drive the motor, and installed Modern Batteries and Speed Controller. The Radio is original, a bit large by todays standards, but it works, if somewhat primitive.
The car is great fun, as it is much lighter now, and accelerates like a scalded cat, can do 360° spins and generally puts a grin on your face!
Why Nr 8 ? well that was my Race Number when I did Stockcar Racing when we lived in England, happy days!
