Shoe tossing!

Seeing trainers hanging from telephone cables and power lines is a common sight here. Seemingly depending where you live this has a lot of different meanings; gangs, marking territory, drug dealers, someone was killed, last day of school tradition or shoe tossing.

Given where I saw them I think I'll go with the shoe tossing option. Seemingly when you get a new pair of trainers you tie the shoelaces of your old pair together and throw them up on the telephone cables. What else are you going to do with your old pair of trainers. Or it could just be a good old fashioned prank :)
