GARDEN SHED

When we bought our home more than 20 years ago this thatched rondavel was leaning perilously to one side and half of the thatch had fallen out. It had been used by previous, previous and even more previous owners to grow ferns in.
Thatching is one of the local crafts still alive and flourishing, so we got a local group to restore the rondavel.
At the moment Andries, the painter, has made it his headquarters. We store wood there, dry herbs and leave the wheelbarrow chained to one of the poles. Not as romantic as growing ferns but still made glamorous by this gorgeous creeper that just appeared one day.
