Typical Melboune Weather

After scans yesterday revealed that another disc has slipped and a third is threatening to follow suit, today was very much a non-day for me, especially as having the meds increase has made me side effect city again... Which worked well, seeing as, even if I were in fine form, Melbourne is doing its crappy weather thing once again. The cold, wet conditions are only adding to my level of discomfort, so even collecting little dude from school was an ordeal. Bucketing rain, I needed an umbrella. However, I live in a valley next to mountains, so it is always windy in all directions, so my attempts to not end up Mary Poppins-ing also added to the pain...

Poor Manne wanted to go outside, however, the rain would have ruined his figure, so he simply sulked at the window.

I'm currently battling through the horrid side effects, unable to get comfortable because I'm up and down with nausea... And I'm meant to be in court in less than 12 hours. My doctor send off a detailed report on Monday, requesting an adjournment as it would be an unfair hearing if I'm vomiting, confused, not hearing properly, and speaking rather incoherently. However, his application was declined, and I was told I need to show up anyway, and if I'm deemed unfit to stand for the hearing, then they will adjourn. Seems silly to me that they are disregarding a detailed medical report, but there's nothing I can do except show up, however revolting I am. Though it will piss me off to show up, sit around vomiting until the case is ready to be heard, only to be told I'm not well enough (as predicted by my doctor), and told to go home... That said, I will also be pissed if they go ahead with what will be an unfair hearing.
