Project Progress

I blipped this construction project two weeks ago and rambled on about the speed of construction here in Mexico when someone wants something done. I have decided to update the project's progress every couple of weeks or so and this is my first installment in that process. Walls are going up at a furious pace, along the road and on the hillside. There must be 50-75 guys working away in the hot sun and lots of heavy machinery (for a Mexican project anyway). The stonework at the top of both photos is the wall of the Parthenon, a infamous local Zihuatanejo landmark that we had the pleasure of visiting back in February which undoubtably will be the last time.

There is a lot of conversation about this project, but the Marines are playing things close to their chest and no one seems to have any concrete (pun intended) idea of what is going on. Time will tell.

More detail when viewed large.
